The World Bank has expressed its concern over the sharp rise in inflation in the Cambodia economy according to The Earthtimes.
While the World Bank does not believe 10.8 percent inflation will dramatically hurt the Cambodia economy, it did clearly state that Cambodia’s poor will be severely affected unless food prices come down.
It is estimated that the poorest 25 percent of Cambodians spend as much as 70 percent of their income on food.
