Cambodia Land Prices Rise Twenty-Fold

October 16th, 2007 · No Comments

Cambodia land prices in Phnom Penh have risen from $5 per sq meter to $100 per sq meter in one year according to Channel Asia News.

The key driver to such an increase in Cambodia land prices is due the growing inflows of foreign direct investment into Cambodia from countries such as South Korea and China.

While concerns Cambodia’s past have not disappeared, investors are becoming more confident with Cambodia both politically and economically.

Foreign direct investment in Cambodia is set to reach $500 million this year and has quadrupled over the past three years.
