The Cambodia government has agreed to sell 6,000 tons of rice to Senegal despite its recent rice export ban according to Xinhua News.

The decision by the Cambodia government to circumvent the Cambodia trade ban is justified by only selling ‘broken’ rice to Senegal.

Any move by the government of Cambodia to lift the ban on Cambodia rice exports is welcome by Cambodia rice farmers as the price of Cambodia rice sits at almost $1 per kilo.
